I have a bad feeling that the egypt trip is going to be a big headache. my head is already hurting. my mother fails to or refuses to see how beneficial it would be to go with an egyptian company rather than a u.s.-based company, with contributing money to a country that relies heavily on tourism. sometimes, i really feel like my mother doesn't listen to a word that i'm saying. ah, the age-old complaint. i don't know how i'm going to make it through two weeks...and half of them being on a damn ship! i seriously think that it would be a matter of time before i threw myself overboard. i'm having anxiety attacks just thinking about this. i just need to keep reminding myself: it's a free trip to egypt. i'm going to see pyramids. it's going to be amazing.

why does she make me feel like this?

edit: looks like i might be planning the trip now. we'll see how this goes.

The only reason you'd throw yourself overboard is to live your fantasy of having Kurt Russell kidnap you and trick you into raising his redneck family!

true. :)

i think that i'm stressed because my sister won't be there. i don't want to be swallowed by the negativity. she emailed me twice more, mentioning that if i didn't like this tour, i could go online to find something better. ummmm...no. this trip was her idea. ugh. i'm just really upset that she doesn't want to go with an egyptian company. i wrote her back and said to go with that one then. i'm getting tired of this. i just want to get on a plane and be there.

i printed the "101 ways to cope with stress" list. i'm going to hang it next to my computer. :)

you are lovely. xo

i haven't thought about record stores. i'll put that on my list. :)

ummm...yea, i think that we'll be staying away from israel. it would be cool to visit some day, though. have you and eran been emailing? i think that he's back in the states now, isn't he?

You need to start lifting weights so you can still carry your suitcase with me curled up inside. Egypt is my dream trip!

Most people I know who've traveled in Egypt have gone through universities or National Geographic (which is super expensive, but all inclusive, I hear). But I checked the American Research Center in Egypt's site, and it looks like the group uses Emeco Travel (www.emeco.com).
